socialfanout.com ("we," "us") provides a developer API for publishing content to social media platforms. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
- Account information: Email and API key when you sign up.
- OAuth tokens: Access and refresh tokens issued by connected platforms (Meta, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, Bluesky, etc.) so we can publish on your behalf.
- Content you submit: The text, media URLs, and metadata of posts you ask us to publish.
- Operational logs: Request timestamps, status codes, and error traces for debugging, abuse prevention, and support.
- Billing data: Handled by Stripe. We do not store card numbers.
- Launch-update opt-ins: Email addresses submitted to receive socialfanout.com product and provider updates.
How We Use Data
- To execute the publish requests you send to our API.
- To maintain your active connections and refresh expiring tokens where the connected platform supports refresh.
- To bill you and prevent abuse.
- To send product, provider, and launch updates when you opt in.
- To improve reliability — never to train models on your content.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your post content with third parties beyond the platform you are publishing to.
Third Parties
- Connected platforms (Meta, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, Bluesky, etc.) — we send your content to them when you ask us to publish.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Klaviyo — optional email update delivery when configured.
- Supabase — encrypted data storage.
- Railway — application hosting.
Storage & Security
OAuth tokens are stored server-side in Supabase and are not returned by public API or dashboard responses. API keys are stored as one-way hashes. All traffic is TLS.
Retention
- OAuth tokens: revoked or deleted when you disconnect an account or delete your account.
- Post content metadata: retained only as needed for receipts, debugging, security, billing, and legal compliance.
- Account data: deleted within 30 days of account deletion request.
- Launch-update opt-ins: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- Logs: retained as needed for debugging, security, billing, and abuse prevention.
Your Rights
You can disconnect any platform, export your data, or delete your account at any time from your dashboard. To request data export or deletion outside the dashboard, email hello@socialfanout.com.
Children
socialfanout.com is not intended for users under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will email account holders at least 14 days before changes take effect.
